Toyota Camry Hybrid launched in Australia
Toyota has unveiled today the hybrid version of the Toyota Camry Sedan for Australia which is going to enter the Australian market in February 2010. The car was launched at the Altona plant where the official production started today. The Toyota Camry Hybrid is powered by a 2.4L petrol engine and also an electric drive which produce together 188 HP, 31 HP more than the stock version of the Camry sedan which had only 157 HP.
The hybrid version of the Camry is expected to have a fuel usage of under 6L/100 km with its electric drive, which is a huge improvement when you compare it to the fuel consumption of the stock version of this car which was 8.8L/100 km. The car features a Hybrid Synergy Drive-oriented instrument cluster design and it will come with full leather trim interior, fog lights and a reversing camera.
