The Fiat 500 goes electric...
Fiat and Chrysler will unveil a battery-powered version of the Fiat 500 at the Detroit Motor Show in 2010. Fiat, which aims to produce more than 50,000 electric vehicles per annum by 2014, is expected to put the Fiat 500 EV into production by 2011.
Small electric cars like the Mini-E, Peugeot iOn, Citroen C-Zero, Smart ForTwo EV, Renault Zoe, Volkswagen E-Up!, Hyundai i10 Electric, and even the Tata Indica EV and Chevy Spark EV being developed in India, are showing the way ahead in terms of zero-emissions urban mobility. We guess the Fiat 500 getting on the small EV bandwagon was just inevitable…
